From the beginning in 1957 Dorie and Nub Sarns knew that this hill in the great Michigan outdoors was going to be some place special. They cleared the trees and installed a double chairlift, and opened for business. In 1964 the slope "Crazy Otto" opened named after the groomer Otto Washburn.
The Harbor Springs Lyric Theatre open year round features three theaters each with their own theme. The largest theater seats 195 and is proud to bring first run & classic movies to downtown Harbor Springs, Michigan. The annual Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair at the Petoskey Fairgrounds kicks off for the public on Tuesday and runs through Sunday. The Grandstand at the Fair is where the BIG excitement takes place, Tuesday through Saturday night, every year!
The tiny red store in downtown Good Hart was built by resident Cliff Powers in 1934 and operated as a general grocery, butcher, and gas station until 1971 when the Powers sold the business to current owner Carolyn (Woods) Sutherland, who currently operates the grocery, bakery, deli, and post office with husband Jim Sutherland.
Pond Hill Farm is a family owned and operated farm located 5 miles north of downtown Harbor Springs, Michigan on scenic M119. The farm is open to the public and is a great place to bring the family for a fun filled farm experience.
