Come join us for the Annual International I-500 Snowmobile Race and experience all the thrills of NASCAR on a one-mile oval ice track. The I-500 is the biggest event in the Upper Peninsula and in the entire snowmobile-racing world. When drivers accelerate to speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour on the straightaways, your heart will race.

January 6-7, 2024

(TCSDR) was founded in 1999, operated by volunteers to promote, conduct and support mid-distance sled dog racing in the Midwestern United States and Canada. The race attracts mushers from all over the United States, as well as Canada, South Africa and New Zealand.

February 15-19, 2024

The UP200 is one of the top 12-dog mid-distance races in the Midwest, as well as being an Iditarod qualifier. The UP200 trail covers 230 miles of challenging terrain from Marquette to Grand Marais, Michigan and back again through forested land and near-wilderness. Mushers face hills, creek crossings, deep snow, and isolated trail.

February 7-11, 2024

The Michigan IceFest in Munising, Michigan features numerous clinics ranging from Rigging and Rescue to Top Rope Anchor classes.

Tours of an authentic underground copper mine tour dating from the 1800's, with above-ground trails past 1870's mine building ruins.

Keweenaw County has 11 well-maintained sites/museums offering a glimpse into the unique history.

The Adventure Mine is a copper mine near Greenland, Michigan that operated from 1850 to 1920. During that time, miners removed more than 11 million pounds of native copper from the ground.

Holiday Lasers on the Ore Dock will once again turn Marquette’s century-old Lower Harbor Ore Dock into the backdrop of a holiday light display. The show will kick off on Thanksgiving and run on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights through New Year’s Eve.

The Violet Color Tour begins in the charming town of St. Ignace and takes you on an unforgettable adventure:

"Benny the Beard Fisher" is a troll sculpture installed at Northland Outfitters (8174 State Highway M-77, Germfask, MI, 49836) you can also see him while floating down the Manistique River in Germfask Michigan. the troll is about 15 feet tall with a length of nearly 35 feet seems to be watching the water.

Northland Outfitters is conveniently located smack dab between all of your UP bucket list sights and things to do. Which ever direction you go, take the time and soak it all in. It's not about where you're going, but how you spend your time while you're getting there.

2023 tour season starts on June 14 and runs through October 7
The tour departs from Soo Junction, MI at 10:30 AM and returns at 5:00 PM.
