Celebrate The Holiday in Michigan

Enjoy autumns fall color traveling north on M-37 Old Center Road up the center of Old Mission Peninsula into Grand Traverse Bay. The route twists and turns over the hills of beautiful terrain and dotted with vineyards finally reaching the peak of the peninsula at Old Mission Lighthouse and State Park at Lake Michigan.

Gallagher's Farm Market was opened in 1971 by Jack and Bernie Gallagher. For the past 40 years has been run by their daughter, Maria Lammers, with her husband Sid and their family. The farm market opens in June of each year as local asparagus and strawberries become available, and remains open through October.

Every year over a half million people join in on the festivities of the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City Michigan the week of July 4th.

Peninsula Cellars is a family run winery located on the Old Mission Peninsula, just north of Traverse City, Michigan. The Northwestern Michigan Fair in Traverse City is a summertime favorite that blends community pride with classic fair fun. Held every August, it’s a great place to experience the area’s agricultural roots through 4-H livestock exhibits, tasty local food, and nightly grandstand events like rodeos and tractor pulls.

The TC Boom Boom Club is planning a BIGGER and BETTER fireworks display for our 4th of July celebration. The Traverse City Boom Club mission is to celebrate our community, the beauty of the Grand Traverse Region and freedom.

All aboard! It's time for the annual Festival of Trains, a Traverse City holiday tradition. Come see the massive 0-gauge model train layout along with spectacular HO-, S- and G-gauge layouts. There's a special kids layout, too, where the young (and young-at-heart) may operate the controls.

The Zombie Run, a 5K run/walk, has become a Traverse City Halloween tradition. And what's not to like? Zombies and beer have always been a winning combination. Come join zombies from all walks of life (or shall we say death)! You never know who will show up, but the one thing you will never see is someone not having a great time.
