Celebrate The Holiday in Michigan

Excitement surrounds this time of year as the annual Christmas and Holiday Traditions Around the World brings the glow of 300,000 lights, strolling carolers, horse-drawn carriage rides and more than 40 international trees and displays.

The 2020 Festival of Lights...has been cancelled this year.

The first weekend in December we hold our annual Festival of is Grass Lakes annual Christmas Festival of Lights. Enjoy breakfast with Santa; carriage rides to the Coe House Museum. The Coe House is open and decked out for the season. The United Methodist Church has their annual craft and bake sale, Santa makes a visit to the Depot.

Take a lantern-lit journey into a living snow globe filled with live music, skating, fireworks and tons of winter wonder during America’s premier celebration of the season.

Awesome night in Lexington. Does not get anymore Americana than this night.

Santa, chestnuts, tree lighting, carols. A great way to kick off the holiday.

Apple barn and bakery will open in late August. More Fall Fun begins in September with the opening of our Petting Farm, Apple Orchard, Pumpkin Patch, Wagon Rides, Corn Maze and all of the family activities in Pumpkin Lane. Check website for exact dates and hours of operation

2nd & 3rd weeks in February

Pentwater’s Winterfest is the second and third weeks in February and includes a fishing tournament, the Snowman Scram 5K and opportunities to go cross-country skiing in the Pere Marquette State Forest.

Day after Thanksgiving through January 1, 2021

The Colors of Christmas is a drive-thru wonderland of lights and Christmas displays. Every night from 6:00pm to 11:00pm - the Croton Township Campground will be open for you and your family to drive through or hike through "The Colors of Christmas" light displays.

Enjoy the fruits and foliage of Harbor Country VISIT THE DINGES’ FARM | Walk through our fields and PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKINS

We will have pumpkin painting, hayrides, pumpkin picking, animals, barrel train and more. Mark your calendars to join us!

While it may be a little different this year, the Wayne County Lightfest will be taking place in 2020!

The Lightfest's magical 4.5 mile drive through holiday light display is a tradition for families all over Metro Detroit. There are new displays this year along with 45 other animated themed displays.

2020 Dates: Nov 27-29 Dec 4-7, 11-14, 17-24, 26-30

Costumed villagers prepare for the holiday season in the Village’s homes and shops. The Colwell Opera House presents live entertainment, and Santa Claus visits with the children. See model trains and craft demonstrations, and enjoy holiday music and unique shopping opportunities.

Binder Park Zoo is a great place to create holiday memories and traditions.

FEBRUARY 11-15, 2021

The UP200 is one of the top 12-dog mid-distance races in the Midwest, as well as being an Iditarod qualifier. The UP200 trail covers 230 miles of challenging terrain from Marquette to Grand Marais, Michigan and back again through forested land and near-wilderness. Mushers face hills, creek crossings, deep snow, and isolated trail.

Ice Competitions - Friday & Saturday
Watch carvers magically turn frozen blocks into works of art! Friday evening the Professional Individual Competition will run from 5:30pm-7:30pm along Pleasant Street. On Saturday, the Professional Team Competition will run from 8am-4pm along State Street.

The Zombie Run, a 5K run/walk, has become a Traverse City Halloween tradition. And what's not to like? Zombies and beer have always been a winning combination. Come join zombies from all walks of life (or shall we say death)! You never know who will show up, but the one thing you will never see is someone not having a great time.

Parade: Sat, Nov 21, 2020 10:00am - 12:00pm

Wyandotte Michigan knows how to put on a holiday party. The Parade route begins at Northline near the Police/Court Building and ends at Eureka Avenue. The parade begins at 10 am and usually runs approximately one hour.

Pre-cut Blue Spruce Christmas trees. Large and small trees. Wreaths, live garland, stands, ornaments, lights. Shaking and wrapping service provided.

November 2 & 3, 2019

Featuring new and returning selected artists displaying handmade items created from fiber, wood, metal, clay, glass, mixed media and more. Get your holiday shopping done early! Artist booths are located in Isabel Hall and the C.S. Mott Gallery Wing.
