Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk is always Labor Day. the Mackinac Bridge will be closed to public traffic form 6:30 a.m. to noon on Labor Day, to accommodate the Annual Bridge Walk.

There is no fee or registration required to participate in the walk.

Labor Day Weekend

Fairgrove Bean Festival is Labor Day Weekend. Saturday afternoon Mud Bog, Sunday evening Demolition Derby by Unique Motor Sports, fireworks at 9:30 on Sunday night…Monday is the parade and Chicken BBQ…free bean soup every day, craft show, bingo and crowning of the Michigan Bean Queen.

Each year during the third weekend in August we celebrate a part of our local heritage, wild blueberries. An art fair, entertainment, and wonderful local food are part of the festivities. The celebration also showcases informative programs of music, nature, and lore all featuring local history.

The Michigan Honey Festival is a fun, inexpensive, & informative weekend for everyone, young and old, non-beekeepers, “Newbee’s” & seasoned beekeepers alike. All our attendees, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers will walk away with something.

The Coloma Glad-Peach Festival is an annual celebration of the gladiolus flowers and peaches, which are both grown locally. The festival is held the first weekend in August, and provides three days of family friendly fun for all ages.
