As winter fades away you start to see Michigan flowers everywhere. Festivals include celebrating the the beauty of Holland with the Tulip Festival, the smell of Lilacs and Moral Mushroom hunting.

May 8 – 10, 2026 Mesick Michigan is a small town, with a big heart!! Come join the fun at the annual Mesick Mushroom Festival every May. Grab a mesh bags (to shake spore droppings along the forest floor) while you hunt the biggest Morel Mushrooms you have ever seen. |

Springtime in the Porcupine Mountains in Ontonagon Michigan Springtime gives you a chance to see the forests bloom to life! Local rivers and streams are swollen with spring melt-water, making it the best time of the year to see the area’s spectacular waterfalls. |

May 1 - 10, 2026 Visitors from all over the world come to see millions of tulips in parks, gardens and tulip lanes. The festival hosts 3 parades, music and variety shows, concerts, dinner theatre and over 1,100 authentically costumed Dutch dancers. |

April 23-26, 2026 The last full weekend of April is always an exciting time to visit the village Shepherd, located just 15 minutes south of Mt. Pleasant. During this time, the community celebrates its annual Maple Syrup Festival. The Maple Syrup Festival is a weekend full of parades, craft shows, carnival rides and more. |

Last full weekend in April Annual Vermontville Maple Syrup Festival is a 3-day event with a talent show, rides, arts & crafts,flea market, parades, various contests, fireworks and downtown stage with entertainment. 4D Acre Farm Maple Syrup began making maple syrup in 2010. We made a homemade evaporator out of an old water tank. The syrup pan on top we borrowed from our friends. In 2012, we bought a used 2 1/2' x 8' wood fired evaporator. Every year we add and/or change things. |
