Michigan Life's Region 8 Muskegon and Newaygo Area. Holiday traditions include the famous America's tallest, singing Christmas tree in Muskegon with its 25,000 colored lights, 15 tiers that reach 67 feet up into the majestic Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts, over 275 singers. Presented by Mona Shores High School has become a tradition not to be missed and it is the perfect place to Celebrate the magic of the holiday season!

Of course Christmas is the time when we all gather in the local Christmas Tree Farms to pick out the perfect Christmas Tree, enjoy hot chocolate and apple cider while taking a horse drawn sleigh-ride through the woods of Michigan. Enjoy Life, Christmas Life, with Michigan Life!

2nd & 3rd Weekends of February

Pentwater’s Winterfest is the second and third weeks in February and includes a fishing tournament, the Snowman Scram 5K and opportunities to go cross-country skiing in the Pere Marquette State Forest.

The Colors of Christmas is a drive-thru wonderland of lights and Christmas displays. Every night from 6:00pm to 11:00pm starting day after Thanksgiving through January 1st!

Just south of Ludington is a magical world of seventy foot sand dunes and evergreen forests. Here, burrowed amidst the Silver Lake State Park sand dunes, stands the spectacular Little Sable Point Lighthouse.

Just down the shore from Big Sable stands the Ludington North Breakwater Light, another charge of SPLKA’s and a partner with the City of Ludington. This 1924 light is also open for tours and tower climbs and boasts a vibrant green light from its tower.

Buttersville Park Beach is a dog-friendly beach south of Ludington and a little less crowded than the beaches closer to downtown. Follow the scenic drive to the Buttersville Peninsula to this quiet escape off the beaten path.

Santa’s comin’ to town! Join us for the Annual Christmas Parade in downtown Montague and Whitehall. The American Legion and VFW will lead the event, along with our generous Title Sponsor, Shepherd & Shepherd Law.

We always have FREE wine tastings for a few samples.

All 30+ wine varieties are open on the 2nd Saturday of the month for guests to try — FREE — (limited to 10 samples by law)

Outside of 2nd Saturdays, private tastings can be scheduled for groups of 10 or more...
