Don and Eleanor Iott, both retired educators, own and operate Nottawa Fruit Farm. Although "Farming" in the Nottawa area can be traced back several generations on Eleanor's side, the retail business was begun with the planting of one-half acre of strawberries and then selling them from a card table in their front yard.

Our founders John and Carolyn Beck purhcased the "family farm" from John's parents in the early 1970's. Originally run as a wholesale fruit and vegetable farm, the young Becks found it hard to make ends meet in the depressed wholesale market. They had to find an innovative way to keep the farm in operation.
Welcome to Montrose Orchards! Still owned and operated by the Hill family, Montrose Orchards is a third generation farm. The orchard is nearly 200 acres strong with primary crops being apples, pumpkins, pears, asparagus, blueberries, strawberries, and cherries.
The Flower Farm will provide our friends and neighbors with the effects and experiences they need to connect with the natural world around them. We will accomplish this by furnishing the finest products, the most valuable entertainment, and the most useful knowledge we can grow, create, or locate.
