2017 Holiday Walk at the Flint Cultural Center is being held on Tuesday, December 5th, 5:30-8:00pm and Tree Lighting at 5:15pm
This years festivities include:

Featuring new and returning selected artists displaying handmade items created from fiber, wood, metal, clay, glass, mixed media and more. Get your holiday shopping done early! Artist booths are located in Isabel Hall and the C.S. Mott Gallery Wing.

The Flint Zombie Walk is an annual charitable event now in its ninth year! Combining community, charity and horror, the Walk includes celebrities, vendors, entertainment, prizes and, of course, a one-of-a-kind shamble down Saginaw street.

Long ago, it was boarded up, abandoned, left for dead. St. Lucifer's Asylum for the Mentally Insane. Once there were over 12,000 patients and a staff of 700. A cutting edge psychiatric hospital specializing in electroshock therapy. But things were far from normal. Patients frequently chewing their tongues off, body counts unusually high.

Each season brings new beauty to the estate. Start spring with a visit to see and smell Applewood’s beautiful spring blossoms. In June, the Perennial Garden is filled with peonies, poppies, iris, lilies and delphiniums while roses bloom in the Rose Garden.

Ride the Huckleberry Railroad, catch a show at the Colwell Opera House or learn a trade from one of our craftspeople.
