What to See and Do in Region 3 -Kalamazoo Area
Retail Farm Market & U-Pick, Ready to take away fresh fruits, vegetables, pumpkins, cider, jams, honey and pies at the retail location - 6405 109th Ave. at 64th St. 3 miles eat of I-196 exit 26 just north of South Haven. U-pick sweet and sour cherries, peaches, plums, apples and pumpkins in season.
Don and Eleanor Iott, both retired educators, own and operate Nottawa Fruit Farm. Although "Farming" in the Nottawa area can be traced back several generations on Eleanor's side, the retail business was begun with the planting of one-half acre of strawberries and then selling them from a card table in their front yard.
Gala apples are all picked for 2016- unfortunately there were only a few Gala apples this season (due to May weather in our area).
We are out of peaches & apples today. We plan to start picking Autumn Star peaches and Honeycrisp apples on Sat Sept. 10th. both are available for u-pick.
