The Thumb is a region and its own peninsula. We call it the Thumb Region because when you look at a map Michigan's lower peninsula is the shape of a mitten the this area is the mittens thumb. East of Saginaw and north of Detroit is one of the most coveted areas of michigan also called Blue Water area. This is a favorite travel destination rich in natural scenic beauty, strong cultural heritage and unique towns and people.

The Sunflower Festival is an annual festival celebrated in Mayville, Michigan.

Fifteen years prior to being bitten with the fruit passion, Stan Pankiewicz worked in a nearby apple orchard. He started there in 1969 and worked for several years for an elderly man named Harvey. It was a way for Stan to make a supplemental income for his growing family.

Sanilac County 4-H Fair is a family friendly event a full schedule including auto cross and derby's, horse shows, live entertainment and food and of course all the 4H events.

The St. Clair County 4-H Fair is held at the beautiful Goodells County Park. Covering 120 acres, this Fair showcases motocross, a rodeo, children's activities, midway, music, truck/tractor pulls, exotic animals, livestock shows, draft horse pull, and a bump & run/figure 8.

The Village Winery came about after many years of wine making as a hobby. Through sharing our wines with family and friends we hatched the idea of starting a winery. After a long year or so process of application and build-out, we opened the Village Winery on labor day weekend of 2007 during our annual Romeo Peach Festival.

With a history that dates back to 1863, Yates Grist Mill opened its doors beside the rapidly flowing waters of the ‘then’ Clinton-Kalamazoo Canal. Amidst the beautiful countryside of Rochester, Michigan the memories began in full bloom.

About a decade ago, after studying with industry experts at
University of California (UC Davis) to gain the core knowledge of
