Ice Skating
Enjoy a picturesque, winter tradition and hours of outdoor fun ice-skating at Kensington Metropark. The rink is located at the Orchard Picnic area near the picnic shelter, not far from the sledding hills! There is a small walkway mat from shelter to the rink. The rink is open when ice conditions permit.

Cross-Country Skiing
Fasten your skis and glide across more than twelve miles of groomed trails at Kensington Metropark. Coast past snow-glazed fields, frozen ponds and beautiful deciduous woods. Beginner and intermediate level trails traverse the park and golf course.

The Ski Center is located at the Golf Course. Rental equipment is available weekends and holidays. Equipment rentals must be reserved online.

Sledding and Tobogganing
Take advantage of a snowy day by racing down the hills at Kensington Metropark’s winter sports area. Coast down a variety of hills, from beginner to advanced. A short “bunny hill” designated for younger sledders features padded trees for added safety. The toboggan runs, sledding, and beginner snowboarding hills are located at the Orchard picnic area. The Orchard picnic area also offers a nearby shelter with picnic tables and grills.

Snowboarding
Whoosh through the snow and practice your fundamentals at our snowboarding area. You’ll find a designated snowboarding hill near the Orchard picnic area. A nearby picnic shelter has tables and grills. Open when weather and hill/run conditions permit.
