What to See and Do in Region 4 -Grand Rapids Grand Haven and Holland Area

You can’t go wrong by heading east on Cannonsburg Road to Fallasburg or Townsend ark and maybe have a picnic amidst the colors next to a flowing stream and wooden, covered bridge. There are 11 miles of trails at Cannonsburg Ski area for hiking, biking and trail running.

AJ's Family Fun Center is a family oriented entertainment facility. Attractions include Go-Karts, mini golf and bumper boats as well as laser tag. In addition, there is an arcade game room for all ages.

Here at Sundance Riding Stables, we offer horseback riding for riders of all skill levels. If you've ever dreamed of being a cowboy or cowgirl, wondered what it's like to have a horse, our just feel like riding, stop on by for an hour trail ride on our 200 acres of scenic countryside.

Red Flannel Festival is an Annual Festival started in 1939! We celebrate long, red long johns (union suit) with the FLAP! Always held the FIRST SATURDAY in October!

The popular and engaging evening journey through the Zoo will have guests strolling through an illuminated landscape of nature drenched with rich lighting and sounds. This striking spectacle cycles through creative imagery, music-synchronized animal displays, and animated motifs of moving light.

Open Spring - Fall

John Ball Zoo has over 2,000 animals including lions, tigers, chimpanzees, and a red panda, indoor and outdoor exhibits, interactive experiences, and so much more. The Zoo is conveniently located at the corner of Fulton and Valley (1300 W. Fulton) just west of downtown Grand Rapids.

The Grand Rapids Art Museum is an art museum located in Grand Rapids, Michigan with collections ranging from Renaissance to Modern Art and special collections on 19th and 20th-century European and American art.

GR Paddling provides guided kayak and canoe excursions in and around the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area, utilizing local waterways as a way to increase appreciation by educating the public in the protection and value of our natural resources, and to promote area tourism through healthy, safe and responsible adventure activities.

Howard City celebrates its annual Harvest Festival the 3rd weekend in September. All day Saturday packed full with events for the entire family to enjoy!

Hemlock Crossing offers 239 acres of woods and wetlands along the Pigeon River. Over six miles of trails meander through bottomland and upland forest, old pine plantations and along the river. Trails connect to Pine Bend County Park on the west end of this property. A pedestrian bridge and numerous overlooks offer scenic views.

Our Family - owned winery has been crafting wine since 2003. We invite you to visit the winery, where our wines are fermented and bottled.

Everyone has an artist inside Brush Studio brings your inner artist out in a fun and created art class with a positive sense of self. You will accomplish something you never thought possible–a fabulous piece of art for that wall in your house that you have created!

We are a craft brewery, and our approach is all about style, creativity, diversity, quality, and flavor. Jason Lummen pressed the apples at a local farm for his first batch of cider in 2002. After enjoying the success of those initial rounds of five gallon batches Jason purchased his first fifty-gallon fermenter; which his wife welcomed into the kitchen of their one-bedroom apartment in Heartside.

Pumpkinfest in Zeeland - Celebrating community, family fun, and fall activities for over 30 years! Pumpkinfest is a two-day event that features a number of free and low-cost events that can be enjoyed by all ages. Step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago, on a day when a festival came to town.
