May’s is currently the oldest fudge shop on Mackinac Island. May’s fudge shop has been family operated for four generations. Tahquamenon Falls State Park encompasses close to 50,000 acres stretching over 13 miles. Most of this is undeveloped woodland without roads, buildings or power lines. The centerpiece of the park, and the very reason for its existence, is the Tahquamenon River with its waterfalls.

Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk is always Labor Day. the Mackinac Bridge will be closed to public traffic form 6:30 a.m. to noon on Labor Day, to accommodate the Annual Bridge Walk.

There is no fee or registration required to participate in the walk.

Originally constructed in the 1940s (with construction interrupted by World War II), the bridge itself is 147 feet above the Cut River, and a generous stairway with 230-plus steps provides access to several trails along the river and to the Lake Michigan shoreline.

The tour departs from Soo Junction, MI at 10:30 AM and returns at 5:00 PM.
