With a history that dates back to 1863, Yates Grist Mill opened its doors beside the rapidly flowing waters of the ‘then’ Clinton-Kalamazoo Canal. Amidst the beautiful countryside of Rochester, Michigan the memories began in full bloom.

Labor Day - First week of November

Since 1977, Plymouth Orchards & Cider Mill has been the local cider mill for families to enjoy fresh-pressed apple cider, fresh-made donuts, crispy caramel apples, icy apple cider slushies, fresh organic apples, baked pies and a fun farm experience.

Bond Falls is one of the most popular upper peninsula waterfalls. There are six viewing locations on its accessible boardwalk. Although not part of the Ottawa National Forest, this beautiful waterfalls is surrounded by the Ottawa National Forest. Managed by the U.P.

The Festival of the Forks has been held on the third full weekend in September since 1967 in downtown Albion, Michigan. We are a diverse people and we love to celebrate our heritage.

During this celebration, we focus on enjoying Albion with our families, friends, and everyone who comes to Albion to share in the celebrations.

Sept. 28 - Oct. 1, 2023

Family friendly outdoor festival. Activities include arts and crafts (Saturday and Sunday), Grande Parade, free entertainment, many contests, food, rides, concessions, firework and car show.

The Leila Arboretum dates back to 1922 when Leila Post Montgomery, widow of cereal magnate C.W. Post, donated 72 acres of land to the city of Battle Creek that had formerly been the site of the Battle Creek Country Club. She envisioned a center for culture amid the beauty of nature.

The Gilmore Car Museum started in the early 1960s when Donald S. Gilmore began collecting vintage automobiles. Some of the first vehicles in his collection included a 1927 Ford Model T, a 1913 Rolls Royce, and a 1920 Pierce Arrow. Restoring that classic Pierce-Arrow at his home on nearby Gull Lake ignited a passion.

Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary is a reptile rescue facility that is open to the public.

September is the official month that Michigan Apple Fest hosted in Sparta (just 10 minutes north of Grand Rapids)! It is a family oriented event celebrating the harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables grown on “the Ridge” near Sparta, Michigan, the heart of Apple country.

Enjoy the stunning views of our area on our professionally guided shipwreck tour! Take our cruise down the Cheboygan River, under the drawbridge, and past three lighthouses. From there we cruise into Lake Huron around the 14′ Shoal Light and into Duncan Bay over three shallow water shipwrecks.

The Zombie Run, a 5K run/walk, has become a Traverse City Halloween tradition. And what's not to like? Zombies and beer have always been a winning combination. Come join zombies from all walks of life (or shall we say death)! You never know who will show up, but the one thing you will never see is someone not having a great time.

The Bocock’s and extended family have been in the blueberry business for over 35 years and are dedicated to growing healthy families, and making memories worth repeating. Bumbleberry Acres is family owned and located near the shores of Lake Michigan, in beautiful South Haven.

Fall fun on the farm. Active fruit farm with a fall farm market. Pumpkin patch, corn maze and apple picking. Nugent Orchards is a family operated fruit farm established in 1918 just south of Benzonia in beautiful Northern Michigan. Take a tour of our Cherry Barn Event Venue for your wedding, or special event.

Crane Orchards U-Pick has sweet cherries starting in June/July, Peaches in August, Apples starting labor day weekend into the fall and Pumpkins in September/October - watch facebook for exact dates.
