Downhill Skiing in Michigan

Challenging enlarged Terrain Park which features a quarter-pipe and more terrain for skiers and boarders this season. 15 trails that cascade over beautifully wooded hills. Pumpkin Park for riders to learn new skills and work on new tricks. Five chairlifts, five surface tows, snowmaking, night skiing and snow tubing.

Hickory Hills features 8 runs with 1 beginner, 5 intermediate, and 2 advanced runs that are serviced by 5 rope tows. Night skiing is available on 7 of the runs. Cross country skiers will find 4k of trails with a 1k trail lighted for night skiing. The Ski Patrol assists by promoting safe skiing and offering first aid services.

Bittersweet Ski Resort in the scenic Kalamazoo River Valley is Southwest Michigan's premier ski area. Skier friendly, night skiing, complete snow making and grooming, huge lift capacity and friendly helpful staff to make your visit pleasurable. The Terrain Park will feature new obstacles this year and is served by its own chairlift.

Tubing: Our tubing hill opens 1 hour after our slopes open and starts at the top of every hour. We do recommend reservations as some hours book up. We do not have an age or height limit, we do, however, require each child to ride independently in their own tube… meaning they cannot sit on anyone’s lap.

Mont Ripley welcomes all snow enthusiasts. The ski area is owned by Michigan Technological University and sits in the middle of the cities of Houghton and Hancock. Mont Ripley is amazingly convenient and just minutes from great lodging, restaurants, microbreweries, nightclubs, and shopping.

From the beginning in 1957 Dorie and Nub Sarns knew that this hill in the great Michigan outdoors was going to be some place special. They cleared the trees and installed a double chairlift, and opened for business. In 1964 the slope "Crazy Otto" opened named after the groomer Otto Washburn.

Mount Bohemia in Michigan's Upper Peninsula has the longest runs with the highest vertical and deepest powder in the Midwest. This hidden secret is a true treasure for backcountry skiers and riders. The average snowfall in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula is 273 inches.

Norway Mountain is a ski hill & resort located in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. The average annual snowfall is 100 inches. There 160 skiable acres at Norway Mountain.
