This years Ice Shack parade theme is "A Christmas Story".
A Crystal Christmas takes place on the the 2nd Saturday of December and boasts an Ice Shack parade of hilarious Northwoods themed floats!
Events will take place throughout the town. Below is a tentative schedule of event. More will be added as we get closer to the date.
9:00 -5:00 pm. Sales in stores throughout the town.
9:00 - 2:00 pm. Christmas Craft & Gift Show with SANTA at Crystal Theatre's Stage Left.
9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 Story & Craft Hour at Crystal Falls Library. Pre-registration required
11:00 -1:00 pm CF Contemporary Center Soup To Go luncheon fundraiser at Crystal Theatre's State Left
2:00 2nd Annual Authorpalooza at CF Library - 4 participating authors are: "Never Give Up!...Beanie's Story" by Beanie Leffler from Florence, WI (kids book); “Bitter COLD Holiday" by J.K. Rohde from Iron River, MI (mystery); "Spaghetti on Mondays" by Tom Faminio from Marquette, MI (humorous memoir about growing up in Iron Mountain during the 1970s); "Nightshade Forest: Book One of Eleanor Mason's Literary Adventures" a debut work by Nikki Mitchell from Iron River, MI (juvenile fantasy fiction)
6:00 Ice Shack Parade (theme "A Christmas Story") Parade begins on Superior Ave. near City Hall and ends in front of Northern Interstate Bank. No pre-registration required. Line up begins on Fourth Street in front of the Fire Dept.
6:30 (right after the parade) Fireworks will be shot from the bottom of Superior Ave. No pre-registration. Line up begins in front of the CF Fire Department.
