August 11, 2018 The Les Cheneaux Antique Wooden Boat Show is held in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the city of Hessel, Michigan. Founded in 1978, the event is held every year during the second week of August .

Tahquamenon Falls State Park encompasses close to 50,000 acres stretching over 13 miles. Most of this is undeveloped woodland without roads, buildings or power lines. The centerpiece of the park, and the very reason for its existence, is the Tahquamenon River with its waterfalls.

Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk is always Labor Day. the Mackinac Bridge will be closed to public traffic form 6:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, to accommodate the 2018 Annual Bridge Walk.
